FG says Companies that Cannot Pay N70,000 Minimum Wage May Face Imprisonment

The Federal Government has issued a stern warning to private-sector employers, stating that paying wages below the newly established minimum of N70,000 could lead to imprisonment.

This announcement was made during the 13th Annual General Meeting of the Employers Association for Private Employment Agencies of Nigeria, held in Ikeja, Lagos. John Nyamali, Director of Employment and Wages at the Ministry of Labour.
