The Nigerian police have arrested a nursing mother in Owerri, Imo State, for allegedly causing the death of her underage maid. According to reports by journalist Nonsonkwa Ochi War, neighbors raised an alarm after discovering the tragic incident.

A video shared online captures a tense confrontation as a crowd accuses the woman of punishing the maid for watching TV with her children, leading to the young girl’s death. The maid’s lifeless body is shown in a hospital bed as onlookers express their anger.

Despite the woman’s attempts to explain herself, her voice is drowned out by the crowd, who call her names and demand justice. One voice is heard urging others not to hit her, while another insists, “She’s going to NAPTIP straight.”
