President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, to express his condolences to the government and people of the state following the recent flood disaster.
The flood, which occurred last Tuesday morning, displaced numerous residents and caused significant property damage in the Fori, Galtimari, Gwange, and Bulabulin areas.
The disaster was triggered by the collapse of the Alau Dam, which had reached full capacity in the preceding weeks.
In response, the Borno State government has established 36 camps to accommodate the thousands of internally displaced persons (IDPs).
Governor Babagana Zulum welcomed President Tinubu upon his arrival.
