The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has refuted media reports claiming that former Kogi State Governor, Mr. Yahaya Bello, is in its custody.

In a statement dated September 18, 2024, and signed by Dele Oyewale, Head of Media & Publicity, the EFCC clarified that Bello, who has been declared wanted for alleged money laundering involving N80.2 billion, remains at large with an active warrant for his arrest.
