It has been revealed that
Ayomide Adeleye, the 200-level Philosophy student of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ogun State, arrested for the kidnapping and murder of Christianah Idowu, a 300-level student at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) was a member of the same church fellowship as the victim.
Reports claim that
Adeleye, knew Christianah from attending the same church in Ogun State and that is why it was easy for him to lure her into his home under the pretense of offering shelter during a heavy rainstorm.
Reports claim further that the murder suspect attempted to sexually assault her, and when she resisted, he killed her.
Family and friends had launched a search for Christiana after her disappearance and Adeleye in a cold and heartless manner, contacted her family using her phone and demanding a ransom of N3m. His digital footprints thereafter, led intelligence officers to his bank details and BVN information provided with which he collected the ransom.
