Speaking after his victory, Asani said he was thrilled to claim top spot in such a keenly contested field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/paparazzipressnig.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/1000633278.jpg?resize=640%2C427&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-34503\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Left to right: Vice Chairman, Squash Section,LCC, Mr. Goke Olaleye, Secretary, Dr. Niyi Ibrahim, Executive Vice Chairman Work Nigeria, Alfred Idiodi, Winner of the 2026 Annual Ladder tournament, Mr. Sesan Asani, Chief People Officer Work Nigeria, Mrs Anne Idiodi, Captain of the Section, Muazu Dahir &amp; Financial Secretary of the Section Mr. Adeboye Teriba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>\u201cThis tournament gets tougher every year, and that\u2019s a credit to how much the sport is growing within the club,\u201d Asani said. \u201cTo come out on top against players I respect and have battled for years means a great deal to me. I want to thank WorkNigeria for their continued investment in squash, it\u2019s sponsorships like this that keep the competitive spirit alive in our section.\u201d<br>In the Veteran category, Muazu Dahir doubled his impact with a podium finish, joined by Gbenga Olayemi and Murphy Yusuf in second and third place. The Super Veteran category saw Mike Adekoya take the top spot, trailed by Segun Shonubi and Sunny Obaze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/paparazzipressnig.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/1000633285.jpg?resize=640%2C427&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-34504\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Left to right: Executive Vice Chairman Work Nigeria Alfred Idiodi, Winner of 2026 Annual Squash Ladder tournament, Lagos Country Club, Mr. Sesan Asani and Chief People Officer work Nigeria Mrs Anne Idiodi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>On the women\u2019s side, Moniola Gege topped the ladder, with Abiola Kolawole and Adekumbi Akin-Taylor rounding out the podium in a category organisers say continues to attract growing participation from female members.<br>The tournament was sponsored by WorkNigeria, a workforce development and talent solutions company. Speaking on the company\u2019s continued partnership with the club, Executive Vice Chairman, Mr. Alfred Idiodi, commended the turnout and the spirit of competition on display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/paparazzipressnig.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/1000633286.jpg?resize=640%2C453&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-34505\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alaga Mike Adekoya, Past Chairman, Squash Section,LCC presenting prize to the Most Improved Player of the Tournament, Engr. Onamena IKPIKPINI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>\u201cWe are proud to once again support the Lagos Country Club Squash Section in hosting this ladder tournament,\u201d Idiodi said. \u201cAt WorkNigeria, we believe that the same discipline, resilience, and competitive drive that players bring to the squash court are qualities we champion in Nigeria\u2019s workforce every day.
